The Rainbow Ark Exchange Project

The Rainbow Ark Project provides Mormon, Christian and LGBTQ youth-Young adults  from other Religious groups worldwide with exclusive Relocation program for Crisis Intervention/suicide prevention services. Exposure to different cultures ranks as one of the most powerful ways to promote international understanding and peace. The Rainbow Ark Exchange Project with their Cultural Exchange program provides LGBT Youth and young adults with the opportunity to meet people from the Dominican Republic and other foreign participants living in the Island, a unique opportunity to experience new cultures and volunteer, study or career opportunities through the lens of a different culture, planting the seeds for a lifetime of international understanding. Affirmation LGBT Mormons Families and Friends Dominican Republic - Caribbean Chapter organizes and support this program for lGBT Mormons, Christians and other  religious grouped  youth and  young adults with special  interest in lgbt youth at risk.  The program offers numerous benefits to its young participantsand young adults. to our hosts and mentors, as well as to the community at large. Through The Rainbow Ark Exchange Project, participants learn firsthand about life in another country, its educational system and the world of work. As their concept of the world expands, they mature and develop a deeper understanding of themselves, others and the world.

Immersion in another country’s cultural system enhances their academic, vocational and personal and spiritual growth. Host organizations and families and the entire community are enriched by extended, friendly contact with someone from a different culture. and last but not least, we are commissioned to save lives!
